The Mental Health Service provides specialist mental health services for the Maori and non Maori people of the Wairarapa region, who are experiencing a moderate to serious mental health problem.
As a service we are committed to respecting our obligations to the Treaty of Waitangi, and providing culturally safe and appropriate services in partnership with consumers / tangata whaiora and their families/whanau.

Provides mental health information, assessment, treatment and support options for children/tamariki and young people /rangitahi aged 0 – 19 yrs and their whanau/ families.

The Child, Adolescent Mental Health Service is a specialist assessment and treatment service for young people between the ages of 0 - 19 years old who are considered to have moderate to severe emotional, behavioural, and mental health issues.
As a service we are committed to respecting our obligations to the Treaty of Waitangi, and towards providing culturally sage and appropriate services to work in partnership with our clients supporting them and their families.
Staff work with Maori and non-Maori children, young people and their whanau/family who are experiencing moderate to sever emotional, behavioural development and/or relationship problems. Young people may be seen on their own or with their whanau/family. Appointments can be either at the CAMHS base or at an arranged meeting place in the community.
